The BAPAC was formed to promote the values and principles of the United States Constitution among the Bangladeshi Americans; to enhance the awareness of the rights and responsibilities as citizens of the United States; and to provide Bangladeshi Americans with an institution to legally organize as a group to exercise their political rights.

Bangladeshi American Public Affairs Committee (BAPAC) promotes the values and principles of the United States Constitution among the Bangladeshi Americans. BAPAC works with other community and political organizations to ensure that the concerns and needs of our community are heard and the community have adequate access to resources for social and economic empowerment. It also provides bypartisan support to the best candidates / issues, regardless of their affiliation. BAPAC is registered with Federal Election Committee(FEC) and Filed as Articles of Incorporation-Nonprofit with Michigan Department of Consumer and Industry Services.

WHY BAPAC?

As a Bangladeshi American, would you and your children like to enjoy your civil rights and unite for a significant influence in the US legislative, judicial and executive processes? If the answer is yes, then it is time to get actively involved. We Bangladeshi Americans, and our families need to become more aware of the importance of being active in the U.S. political process. If we sit around and let others decide our future, it will not be good for our children growing up in this country In 2004, the Bangladeshi American Public Affairs Committee (BAPAC) was created in Michigan.
